tinvìs
opaque nostalgia; cautious optimism
About
Born of a move to Austin, Texas from Davis, Ca - tinvìs took root. Founder and songwriter Joel Daniel, a long time member of the Davis/Sacramento music scene who played in bands for many years with members of Tycho, An Angle, Best Move, and Dusty Brown to name some sought to write a collections of songs on his own with the hope of becoming at part of the long tradition of Austin, Texas music.
He wrote a collection of songs inspired by everything from contemporary Bob Dylan, and vintage Neil Young, to Wild Pink and Radiohead, to the young female singer songwriters that are leaving their mark on contemporary society: Phoebe Bridgers, Ex:Re, Flock of Dimes, Adrianne Lenker, and last but not least early Bon Iver and the National.
